MacOn a Mac: Apple menu → System Settings → General → Storage. It has space-saving recommendations and shows which files are large.
Important: Don't delete anything from the Windows or Program Files folders, and don't use "cleaner" programs that promise to speed up your computer. They can break the system, and some are malware.
Quick questions
How much free space should I leave?
Try to keep at least 15% to 20% free. Below that, the computer starts slowing down and updates may fail.
What takes up so much space?
Usually photos and videos, the Downloads folder, old phone backups and games. The `Storage` screen shows exactly.
